I sought medical care from orthopedics, surgery, and physical therapy, but without much success. I wanted solutions, not temporary fixes.

The Physical Toll of the Job. As an Albemarle County native and a retired Master Firefighter-Paramedic, I am intimately familiar with what demanding careers do to the human body. Over years of repetitive movement and sustaining injuries on the job, I developed a severely limited range of motion and experienced daily, sometimes crippling, pain. When traditional medicine—including surgery and physical therapy—failed to provide long-term relief, I began researching alternative solutions.
From Skeptic to Specialist. To be honest, I actually laughed at myself for even considering massage therapy. Like many people, I thought of massage as just a back rub for pampering; I have dubbed “fluff and buff”. But after my first session, I felt a genuine difference. With each targeted treatment, my range of motion returned, the pain faded, and the rehabilitative results lasted longer. I found that advanced bodywork, combined with joint mobilization, helped me far more than traditional orthopedics ever had.
A Clinical Approach to Your Recovery. Intrigued by the science of structural recovery, I graduated from the Cedar Stone School of Massage and became a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Having been involved in healthcare and emergency services for more than 25 years, I bring a deeply holistic and clinical perspective to my practice.
Specialized Modalities. I specialize in a variety of therapeutic approaches to help you heal, including deep tissue and sports massage, joint mobilization and stretching, myofascial release, cranial sacral therapy, injury rehabilitation, stone medicine, as well as classic Swedish massage.
Whether you need assistance rehabilitating a long-term injury, relief from the physical effects of chronic tension, or simply a session of genuine relaxation, we will build a customized treatment plan to meet your goals.

In customizing each session to my clients' needs and goals, the hope of facilitating a full return to homeostasis is better achieved.
Deep Local Roots & Extensive Experience. Born in Charlottesville and a graduate of the Miller School of Albemarle, I am proud to call this community my lifelong home. I graduated from the Virginia School of Massage and have been licensed by the V.A. Board of Nursing to practice massage for over 18 years. As a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, I have spent my career continuously refining my skills.
A Clinical & Restorative Approach. My bodywork career began at the UVA Aquatic and Fitness Center, and over the years, I have worked alongside various spas and chiropractic offices. This diverse wealth of experience has allowed me to deeply develop my clinical knowledge, specializing in advanced therapeutic techniques to help your body reset and heal.
Specialized Modalities. My clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of specialized modalities, seamlessly blending lymphatic drainage, deep tissue work, and myofascial release with passive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), Shiatsu, Lomi Lomi, and prenatal massage.
Outside the Clinic. When I am not working, I am enjoying life to the fullest. I love spending quality time with my family and friends, getting out into nature, and enjoying the arts. Laughter is my jam! I also love plants—though I have a surprisingly hard time keeping them alive!

Massage therapy is a wonderful avenue to foster positive connections and experience the immense rewards of making a difference.
A Hands-On Approach to Healing. I am a graduate of Mountain Gateway University with a profound passion for hands-on learning and practical problem-solving. I firmly believe that being a truly good listener is the foundation of effective bodywork. By understanding each individual's unique concerns and physical goals, I can provide my clients with the most beneficial, customized, and relaxing experience possible.
A Foundation of Strength. Music has played a highly significant role in my life. I found joy in composing and playing various instruments from a young age, which naturally helped build the hand strength and dexterity I rely on today as a therapist. I am committed to lifelong learning and aspire to become the absolute best version of myself for both my clients and my personal journey.
Specialized Modalities. My approach incorporates several highly effective specialized modalities, blending classic Swedish massage and gliding methods with deeper, structural techniques like deep tissue and hot stone therapy to provide a well-rounded healing experience.
Outside the Clinic. My love for the outdoors and gardening serves as a constant source of inspiration, keeping me grounded and connected to the natural healing process.
